The legacy of Skimino Enterprises began in the mid-1980s on Skimino Road here in Williamsburg, VA, born from a specialized passion for vintage automotive restoration and parts. This foundation of technical skills evolved into a professional towing career which began with just a car trailer. In 1999 with the acquisition of a single 1985 rollback wrecker—this was a move that spurred rapid growth and a fleet expansion within just one year. Fast forward to 2009, following a distinguished career as an industrial electrician, the founder of Skimino Enterprises transitioned to lead the company full-time, immediately doubling its service capacity and scope.
Deeply rooted in public service, the founder has been a volunteer with York County Fire and Rescue since the mid-1980s and served as the county’s first Hazmat technician. Beyond recovery operations, the Skimino history is defined by leadership, from presiding over the HR Tow Alliance to serving as the Legislative Committee Chair for VATRO and Vice Chair of the York City Tow Advisory Board.
